Sheffield Wednesday manager Brian Laws has confirmed his interest in West Ham United striker Freddie Sears.
The 19-year-old England Under-20 international had been in talks with Peterborough over a possible temporary move to London Road.
But Laws told BBC Radio Sheffield: "We are in with a shout of signing Freddie but there are other clubs interested in him too.
"Freddie is currently on holiday but we will meet up again when he gets back."

Peterborough director of football Barry Fry has also been quoted suggesting that Sears has been told by the Hammers that he must join Wednesday.
The Owls are keen to take the 19-year-old on a season long loan deal.
Sears has made 25 appearances for the Hammers first team, scoring once.
