Sheffield Wednesday will not be signing Southampton striker Gregorz Rasiak, BBC Radio Sheffield understands.
The Owls are believed to have been interested in a move for the 30-year-old Poland international, who spent this season on loan at Watford.
But Rasiak's wage demands are understood to have been too high, ending the prospect of a deal.
Meanwhile, Wednesday defender Richard Hinds, 27, is expected to sign a new contract with the club.
Hinds made 14 appearances for the Owls last season after recovering from a broken leg that ruled him out for much of the campaign.
