Sheffield Wednesday club captain Steve Watson will miss the rest of the season after undergoing a hip operation.
The 34-year-old, who is out of contract in the summer, has been suffering with the problem all season.
The former Newcastle United midfielder told the club's website: "All in all it will probably be four months, which is a nightmare but it had to be done."
Watson last played in the 2-1 win over Sheffield United and his last full game was at Ipswich on 10 January.
