Sheffield United have signed winger Mark Yeates from Middlesbrough for an undisclosed fee.
The 25-year-old former Tottenham Hotspur trainee only moved to the the Blades' Championship play-off rivals last summer from Colchester United.
But he has now moved on to Bramall Lane on a two-and-a-half year contract.
Yeates was a regular in the opening weeks of the season under Gareth Southgate, but has not been a first-choice for new boss Gordon Strachan.
Since Strachan arrived at the Riverside in October, the majority of Yeates' appearances have come via the bench.
The Republic of Ireland B player was left out of Boro's squad for Saturday's game at Bramall Lane, a 1-0 win for his new club.
