Blades hopeful over double deal

Sheffield United manager Kevin Blackwell
Blackwell is believed to want a striker and a midfielder

Sheffield United boss Kevin Blackwell has said he is in talks to bring in two players on loan and hopes to complete at least one deal in the next 24 hours.

The Blades boss has been trying to add to his squad after injuries and ruled out a number of key players, including captain Chris Morgan.

"We are in negotiations with two clubs for two players," Blackwell told BBC Radio Sheffield.

"I'm hopeful something can be done before [Saturday's game at] Plymouth."
