Scunthorpe United will not follow up their interest in Kilmarnock midfielder Craig Bryson.
The 24-year-old Scotland international has picked up an ankle injury which could keep him out for up to a month.
Iron boss Ian Baraclough told BBC Radio Humberside: "I've taken the phone call, spoken about him and said I quite like him so people are going to link him.
"I know he got carried off the other night, so I think that's not going to happen in the immediate future."
Bryson made his Scotland debut against the Faroe Islands in November 2010.
The former Clyde midfielder has made over 100 appearances for Killie since signing for the club in 2007.
