Paul Hayes upbeat over Scunthorpe's Cup tie

Hayes hopes to avenge Scunthorpe's Carling Cup defeat

Scunthorpe striker Paul Hayes says they are ready to surprise Manchester City when they meet in the FA Cup on Sunday.

The two sides meet for the second time this season after City defeated the Iron 5-1 in the fourth round of the Carling Cup.

Hayes told BBC Look North: "You're in the Cup to win it and play someone big.

"To play Manchester City at home, you can't get much bigger than that and they'll come here with their big stars and hopefully we'll get a Cup upset."

Josh Wright should resume training today after illness and is set to replace the suspended Michael O'Connor.
