Scunthorpe United have signed midfielder Henri Lansbury from Premier League side Arsenal.
Lansbury is set to go straight into United's squad for the League One game at Southend United on Tuesday.
Iron manager Nigel Adkins told BBC Look North: "He's an exciting talent who can get on the ball and get forward."
Lansbury is United's only significant signing in the transfer window so far, after the club lost out in the race for Gateshead striker Lee Novak.
Adkins hinted that Lansbury would not be the only new face in the United squad.
He said: "The transfer window for permanent signings will shut on Monday but for emergency loans it doesn't close until the last Thursday in March."
