Rushden & Diamonds striker Sam Smith has joined Blue Square North side Hinckley United on loan for one month.
Rushden have given Hinckley permission to play the 19-year-old in the FA Trophy match against York City.
"Sam went to Corby earlier in the season, but didn't get as much football as he, or we, would have liked," said Rushden boss Justin Edinburgh.
"Hinckley have got eight games in the period of the loan, so it gives Sam a great opportunity to get up to speed."
Smith has made just 10 first-team starts for Rushden since joining them two years ago but Edinburgh feels he still has a part to play in the squad.
"Its important he goes there, plays some competitive games, then comes back to make a statement here."
"It's a good team to go out to and a good move for Sam."
