Rushden and Diamonds striker Aaron O'Connor has spoken of his delight after scoring twice to give his team a 3-1 victory at Salisbury on Saturday.
The 26-year-old, who joined Rushden from Mansfield at the start of the season, made an instant impact after being introduced as a late substitute.
He told BBC Radio Northampton: "It's the first time I've ever come on and scored with my first touch.
"It's just good to keep the goals coming," he added.
O'Connor's double - in the space of seven minutes - helped Justin Edinburgh's side to a seventh straight win in league and cup ahead of Tuesday night's Blue Square Premier trip to Cambridge United (1945 GMT) and then Saturday's FA Cup second round tie at Brighton.
It's a very big week ahead and we want to keep that run going

"I was disappointed not to be starting but I've been injured and obviously the team did well last week," he said.
"We've got so many quality players in the squad your place isn't guaranteed.
"If you're doing well as a team then people will take notice. And if the next team we play knows we've won seven in a row it might help us.
"It's a very big week ahead and we want to keep that run going."
Rushden's winning sequence has lifted them to seventh place in the table and to within two points of the play-off places.
