Robins' Millers started the league season on minus 17 points
Rotherham United manager Mark Robins believes their Carling Cup win over Sheffield Wednesday marks the start of a new era for the club.
The Millers beat the Owls on penalties, with Rueben Reid scoring a late leveller and then the winning spot-kick against their South Yorkshire rivals.
Robins told BBC Radio Sheffield: "It's a club being re-born. There's a feelgood factor around the place.
"Nights like this just make it special for a club like ours."
Meanwhile, Robins will not be drawn on stories linking him with a move for former Millers striker Ritchie Barker.
"Ritchie belongs to Hartlepool so that's unfair for me to comment on that."
But the Millers boss has confirmed that he is having another look at trialists Marcus Haber, a Canadian Under-21 international, and former MK Dons striker Drew Broughton.
"I've got Marcus Harber in, he's been at Hartlepool and Leeds recently, he's a striker, he's 6ft 3in.
"I'll just run the rule over him and Drew Broughton's coming back in to train with us, so I'll have another look at Drew."
