Rochdale manager Keith Hill praised the performance of on-loan Manchester United goalkeeper Tom Heaton after the 2-1 win away at Dagenham & Redbridge.
It was Dale's fifth away victory in League Two this season and kept them within one win of leaders Bournemouth.
Hill told BBC Radio Manchester: "He's a match-winner and the match-winners aren't always the centre forwards.
"In the Dagenham win it could've been the goalkeeper. He made some outstanding saves."
He added: "He's a good acquisition for the football club. I think there was one outstanding save - the one where he tipped it over the bar.
"I think that's going in the top corner. But that's what he's here to do."
