Rochdale have terminated the contract of Lee McEvilly by mutual consent.
The striker, who has been in his third spell at Spotland, joined on loan from Cambridge in November last year, scoring five goals in four appearances.
However McEvilly, 27, has found first team opportunities limited since making his loan move permanent in January.
McEvily ended the season on loan at Blue Square Premier side Barrow and made 120 appearances in total for Rochdale, scoring 35 goals.
