Griffin has made 20 appearances for Reading this season

Reading defender Andy Griffin believes the next month will be crucial in the Royals' push for promotion.

They host Hull City on Saturday before playing four of the top six in the Championship over the next month.

He told BBC Berkshire: "These results have a greater impact on where you finish regarding the play-offs or automatic promotion.

"Morale's really high at the moment, confidence is high so hopefully we can nick a few wins."

Reading have lost just one of their last 12 fixtures in all competitions and Griffin says there is great self-belief amongst the squad ahead of the Tigers clash.

"If you can go away to the likes of Doncaster, Derby, Hull, pick up points and put in a good performance that's obviously going to install a certain amount of confidence and self belief," he said.

"Hopefully we can keep performing well, it's a home game and the frame of mind that we're in, we're looking forward to the game and think we can win it."
