Reading began their pre-season tour of Slovenia and Croatia with a 3-1 victory over a Red Star Belgrade B team.
Alex Pearce equalised for the Royals in the 11th minute after Red Star had taken an early lead.
Two second-half goals from Simon Church saw Reading clinch the win, against a team containing Serbian internationals.
The only blemish on the performance from the team led by Andy Griffin, was a missed penalty from Gylfi Sigurdsson in the 75th minute.
Reading now head to Croatia to play top-flight side Inter Zapresic on Saturday, 17 July.
The final match is three days later against Slovenian side NK Celje.
