Reading midfielder Kalifa Cisse has said a lack of first-team football may cause him to leave the Royals.
Cisse was a regular starter under previous manager Steve Coppell, but has made just six league starts this season under new boss Brendan Rodgers.
"I need to look out for myself and for my future," he told BBC Berkshire.
The 25-year-old added: "At my age I need to play regularly. I understand and respect the manger's choice and opinion but I have to look for myself."
Cisse has made a further three appearances as a substitute, but admitted that sitting on the bench is frustrating.

"Every player wants to play," added the Mali international. "To sit on the bench and play five minutes here and 10 minutes there is difficult.
"You want to play and help the team but you have to just wait and train hard. I don't want to stay in this situation for a long time."
Cisse joined the Championship side from Portuguese club Boavista in May 2007 at signed a new contract at the Madejski Stadium in January of this year.
