Ingimarsson last played for Reading in January's 2-0 defeat at Swansea

Reading defender Ivar Ingimarsson is set to see a specialist about his ongoing knee problems, reports BBC Radio Berkshire.

The 31-year-old had surgery on his left knee last month to clear up a long-standing cartilage problem.

The appointment with the specialist is designed to determine whether the Iceland international will be out for weeks or months.

Meanwhile, former Royals winger Bobby Convey has joined San Jose Earthquakes.
