Broadfoot's performances for Rangers earned him a Scotland call-up
Injured Rangers defender Kirk Broadfoot could be back in full training within two weeks.
The Scotland international last played in March in a Co-operative Insurance Cup defeat by Celtic at Hampden.
Broadfoot, 25, had surgery to remove part of the bone in his left foot, but has been building up his fitness along with injured midfielder Maurice Edu.
Rangers boss Walter Smith told the club website: "Kirk's almost at the stage where he can kick the ball again."
Smith handed Steven Whittaker the right-back role vacated by Broadfoot, but the latter's ability to play in central defence could work to his advantage later in the season as Rangers' trim squad becomes stretched.
"It has been a while since we've had a full compliment of players to choose from but Mo and Kirk aren't far away now," said Smith.
"Kirk is doing plenty of running now and his fitness levels are decent.
"It's just a case of knowing when to get him involved again because he has had an awkward injury but we're getting closer now.
"We're looking at them both being more or less back in with the rest of the squad by the end of this month."
