Julien Brellier had impressed while with Hearts |
Julien Brellier's agent has dismissed talk of the former Hearts midfielder joining Rangers. The 25-year-old had been quoted as saying that his agent was in talks with Rangers, but it now looks unlikely that the Frenchman will remain in Scotland.
But Maurizio de Giorgis told BBC Sport: "Julien is still on holiday, so there is no news on where he might be going.
"But, to be honest, I never actually had any contact with Rangers anyway. It was just all rumours."
Brellier, who arrived in 2005 after leaving Inter Milan, rejected the offer of a new contract at Tynecastle.
And he has since been critical of the regime at Hearts under Vladimir Romanov.
Brellier impressed during his time in Edinburgh, leading to suggestions that other Scottish Premier League clubs could be interested.
But De Giorgis added: "With every day that passes, there is less and less chance of him staying in Scotland."
