Gordon Durie has sent out a warning to Rangers not to underestimate Anorthosis Famagusta in the Champions League. Durie scored Rangers' winner in 1995 when the Glasgow club progressed to the group stages 1-0 on aggregate.
"That game was a real nightmare and it was a really hostile atmosphere," the former striker told Rangers' website.
"We went to Cyprus with a 1-0 lead, but there were a few anxious moments over there and we had to fight all the way to get the result."
Anorthosis sprung a surprise this season by defeating Turkish side Trabzonspor to progress to the third qualifying round.

And they have the intimidating atmosphere of Andonis Papadopoulos Stadium to their advantage, burning British flags there during that 1995 match with Rangers.
"They made life difficult for us in the first leg as well and it looked like we would never score," said former Scotland striker Durie.
"I managed to get the goal, though, and I think it was probably the most important of my Rangers career.
"I was fortunate enough to play in the great nine-in-a-row team and scoring a hat-trick in the Scottish Cup final against Hearts was pretty special, but that goal is the one I remember most.
"It was so important for the club and we were all delighted to get to the next stage.
"Hopefully, Rangers can do the same this year, but it won't be easy."
