Raith Rovers sign Cowdenbeath winger Scott McBride
McBride joined Cowdenbeath from Dunfermline on loan last summer
Raith Rovers have signed Scott McBride after the 20-year-old winger helped Cowdenbeath join their Fife neighbours in Division One next season.
Compensation, due because the out-of-contract McBride is under 23, has yet to be agreed between the clubs.
McBride scored eight times for the Blue Brazil, having joined from Dunfermline Athletic, initially on loan last summer and then permanently in January.
However, moving to Stark's Park means he is back in full-time football.
Part-time Cowden also lost their manager, with Danny Lennon joining Scottish Premier League outfit St Mirren this week.
The Central Park club say they will begin their search for a new management team early next week, with assistant Iain Jenkins heading to Paisley with Lennon.
"The club has already received a host of applications, but the board will meet on Tuesday 15 June to discuss potential candidates and will look to make an appointment at the earliest possible time," said the website statement.
