Mark Campbell and Paul McManus are Raith Rovers team-mates |
Raith Rovers have re-signed defender Mark Campbell but admit there is a question mark over the future of striker Paul McManus. The Second Division club's website expained that McManus had signed a new contract, but a problem with paperwork led to talks with the SFL.
McManus was asked to sign a new copy of the contract.
However, he "has had what can best be described as a change of heart as regards his future at Stark's Park".
The Kirkcaldy club said that a further statement would be made once the matter had been resolved.
"Raith Rovers is only interested in people being at the club who are committed to and wish to be part of the Raith family," it stated.
Manager John McGlynn was quoted as saying he was "not unduly concerned" and welcomed the retention of Campbell for next season.
"He has plenty experience, is very powerful and aggressive, both in the air and on the ground, which are qualities I look for in a centre back," he said.
Campbell signed for Rovers from St Johnstone in January 2006.
McManus began his second spell with Rovers after arriving from Stranraer in 2005.
