Queen of the South have signed defender Marc McAusland from St Mirren.
The 20-year-old central defender has signed a two-year contract with the Scottish First Division side.
McAusland, who has yet to make a first-team start, graduated through Saints' youth scheme and has spent the past four years with the Paisley side.
The defender, who made five appearances from the bench this term, said he was relishing the challenge of continuing his career with the Palmerston outfit.
"I know the First Division is a tight league and Queens have a decent squad, so there's going to be a lot of competition for places," McAusland told the Queens website.
"However, I'll give it my best shot and do my utmost to get a regular first-team place.
"Although I've been at Palmerston, I've never had the pleasure of playing on the park yet. But it looks good and it's something I'm really looking forward to."
Buddies manager Gus MacPherson insists that the defender had a future in Paisley.
He told the club website: "We did want to keep Marc here as we had offered him a two-year deal but he chose not to sign it, which is every player's prerogative."
