Managerless Preston North End have signed Neill Collins on a three-and-a-half-year deal from Wolverhampton Wanderers for an undisclosed fee.
The 26-year-old defender, who was on the transfer list at Molineux, has been on loan at Deepdale since September.
"Obviously last week was a tough week with the manager leaving but now we have to look forward to the future," the Scot told the club website.
"I am delighted with the first few months I have been at the club."
The centre-back, who made 97 appearances for Wolves, moved to the club following loan spells at Sheffield United and Hartlepool.
He was also part of Mick McCarthy's Wolves squad which gained promotion to the Premier League last season.
