Collins played in the Carling Cup this season for Wolves
Preston have signed Wolves defender Neill Collins on loan until January, with a view to a permanent deal.
The 25-year-old Scot won promotion to the Premier League with Mick McCarthy's Sunderland in 2005 and again with Wolves, under the same boss, this year.
He never played for either club in the Premier League and has won Scotland honours at Under-21 and B levels.
He started his career at Queen's Park and also had spells with Dumbarton, Hartlepool and Sheffield United.
