Halford has previously has spells with Sunderland and Reading
Portsmouth have re-signed Wolverhampton Wanderers defender Greg Halford on loan until the end of the season.
The 26-year-old spent three months at Fratton Park earlier this season, scoring four goals in 12 appearances for Pompey.
"He's been a decent defender for us," Portsmouth manager Steve Cotterill told the club website.
"He's obviously very flexible which helps us a lot and he's scored some important goals for us."
Halford was sent off during Pompey's 3-0 defeat by Watford on New Year's Day and sat out his three-match ban with Wolves after his loan spell at Fratton Park expired.
"The one thing I don't want him to bring back is the ill discipline he showed at Watford," added Cotterill.
