Out-of-contract Portsmouth defender Lenny Sowah has joined Bundesliga side Hamburg on a free transfer.
The 17-year-old left-back leaves Fratton Park after rejecting a deal to play in the Championship next term.
Pompey will be due training compensation for the player as he is under the age of 23.
The German-Ghanaian, who grew up in Hamburg, joined Pompey in 2007, and made five first-team appearances at the end of last season.
