Portsmouth chief David Lampitt wants quick appointment
A new Portsmouth boss could be in place before their vital creditors meeting, says the club's new chief executive.
The creditors will vote on a company voluntary agreement to accept 20% of what Pompey owes them on 17 June.
Chief executive David Lampitt told BBC Radio Solent: "There is nothing per se that says we have to wait for the CVA or act before it.
"But from my point of view, the priority is we do it as soon as possible," he added.
If the CVA is accepted Portsmouth will be allowed out of administration.
Lampitt, 34, took up his new post at Fratton Park this week, following the resignation of former chief executive Peter Storrie.
He previously worked in various roles at the Football Association.
Lampitt added that any new manager needs to understand the place the club has in the community, as well as being a good coach.
"The supporters here are incredibly loyal and incredibly knowledgeable and incredibly passionate about their club, and therefore it's important that a manager can engage with that," he said.
