Portsmouth manager Paul Hart has insisted the club's players will be paid their September wages next week.
Their salaries were not paid last week because of "a delay in the transfer of funds" following new owner Sulaiman Al Fahim's recent takeover of the club
"The players will be paid on Monday," Hart told BBC Sport after his side won their first league game of the season.
Last month Al Fahim promised to inject £50m into the financially troubled club within a matter of weeks.
Against the backdrop of Pompey's off-field financial problems, Hassan Yebda's goal clinched a 1-0 victory over Wolves at Molineux, ending a run of seven straight Premier League defeats since the start of the season.
And a smiling Hart thinks the club's financial future will be positively resolved very soon.
"We're hoping that our club will be seeing better times in the next week or two," added Hart.
The documentation is in place but the proof of whether it is all genuine will be if it turns up.

"I expect us to have some news in the next couple of days. I know I've said that before, but I won't be having to say it again in another couple of weeks."
But with details still sketchy about Al Fahim's promised refinancing package, concerns will persist over Portsmouth's financial future.
On Friday, Pompey chief executive Peter Storrie revealed the club desperately needed at least 30% of the £50m loan Al Fahim has promised will be arriving.
"I really don't know what will happen if that money doesn't come through," said Storrie.
"So the bottom line is the middle to end of October. I really don't know what will happen if that money doesn't come through.
"All I can tell you is what have seen. The documentation is in place but the proof of whether it is all genuine will be if it turns up.
"Sulaiman says it will, so I have to believe it, so let's wait and see," added Storrie, who revealed that Portsmouth's financial plight, includes debts to two agents of as much as £3m.
"The two agents you talk about have been incredibly helpful. It's through my friendship with them that they are not banging on the door.
"We have owed money on transfers to a number of clubs and those clubs have also been extremely helpful."
Reportedly Al Fahim is in Dubai, recovering from an operation to remove kidney stones.
Al-Fahim completed a protracted takeover in August after parting with around £60m to take control of the club from Alexandre Gaydamak.
