Portsmouth chief executive Peter Storrie has said he is delighted with the club's ticket sales for their Uefa Cup tie with Vitoria SC.
Three quarters of Pompey season ticket holders have taken up their allocation for the game on 18 September.
"I'm delighted, it's the biggest ever initial take up we've had for a cup tie," Storrie told BBC Radio Solent.
"Vitoria are bringing 700 fans so there will be an extra 2,000 tickets when they go on general sale shortly."
Portsmouth have nearly 15,000 season ticket holders.
