Justin Richards scored his first goal for Port Vale in their 6-2 friendly victory over Nantwich Town on Tuesday.

The 29-year-old put Vale 2-0 up after Rob Taylor had opened the scoring.

Marc Richards (2), Anthony Malbon and Will Bratt completed the scoring for Micky Adams' side, who included trialist Gary Roberts from the start.

"Nantwich is a tough place to play, they're a decent non-league side and we've won the game quite comfortably," Vale boss Adams told BBC Radio Stoke.

The League Two side have already defeated Harborough Town and Biddulph Vics in pre-season, and face Newcastle Town at the Lyme Valley Stadium on Saturday.
