Port Vale manager Micky Adams insists his players did him proud in their 2-0 defeat at Scunthorpe in the Carling Cup on Tuesday.
The Vale defeated Sheffield United and Sheffield Wednesday in the previous rounds but succumbed to Scunthorpe in the first half of extra time.
After the game Adams demanded his team take their cup form into the league.
"It's no use getting motivated for big games, we have to do it in the league too," Adams told BBC Radio Stoke.

The Vale travel to Notts County on Saturday looking to end a run of two games without a win and Adams says his players need to bounce back quickly.
"We need to concentrate on our league form now, we've lost two on the spin and that doesn't sit well with me but we'll be positive on Saturday."
