Lee Collins believes Port Vale can claim their third Championship scalp of this season's Carling Cup against Scunthorpe at Glanford Park on Tuesday.
The Valiants have beaten Sheffield United and Sheffield Wednesday to reach the third round and are the only League Two side left in the competition.
"I wanted a Premier League team," the defender told BBC Radio Stoke.
"But we were lucky in a way because it's a winnable game for us. Hopefully we can progress to the next round."
The 20-year-old added: "We're still up against a Championship team and you can't really complain about that.
"They'll be looking at us and seeing that we've knocked out two Championship teams before, and they know that we'll be up for it."
Vale lost for the first time at home under Micky Adams against Bury on Saturday, but Collins thinks the team will be able to bounce back.
"After the game, the manager told us to put that defeat behind us and look ahead to the game on Tuesday night," added the former Wolves trainee.
