Micky Adams officially took over as manager of Port Vale in June
Port Vale manager Micky Adams has finally signed his first contract, after two months in the job.
The former Brighton, Fulham, Leicester and Coventry boss finalised terms with the club's board of directors on Friday, signing a one-year deal.
Vale chairman Bill Bratt told BBC Radio Stoke: "Micky has signed his contract. We wanted to tie it up before now, but there were legal complications.
"Anyway, it's all done now and that's all that matters."
Adams arrived in Burslem in June, appointing much-travelled striker and fellow Yorkshireman Geoff Horsfield as his number two.
In his short time in the Vale hot seat, Adams has only lost one league game, against Macclesfield on 18 August, while winning one and drawing his other two league matches.
He has also guided the club to the third round of the Carling Cup, Vale having beaten Sheffield-born Adams' two home-town sides, United and Wednesday.
