The 2-1 victory at Bramall Lane was Adams' first in charge of Port Vale
Port Vale manager Micky Adams has warned his squad to keep their feet on the ground following their shock win at Sheffield United in the Carling Cup.
A brace from Marc Richards helped the League Two side to a 2-1 win over their Championship counterparts.
"We've set standards tonight, and what would disappoint me is if we let those standards slip against Bradford City." Adams told BBC Radio Stoke.
"We want to keep the momentum going because it means a lot in football."
Adams, who was manager of Brighton when they knocked out Manchester City and reached the third round of the Carling Cup last season, would like another big draw for Vale in round two.
"Obviously we'd like to get a bigger club away from home if we can, but I'll take anyone.
"It's a real bonus for us, you don't think about things like that before the game.
"You tell the players that it could be their night if they believe it, and they certainly did believe it."
