Port Vale have completed the signing of former Walsall and Hereford full-back Kris Taylor on a short-term contract.
The 22-year-old will be available for their opening fixture of the League Two season against Rochdale on Saturday.
Taylor impressed during several appearances for the Valiants in pre-season, after being invited to train with the club during the summer.
Vale manager Micky Adams told the club website: "He has fitted in nicely and deserves the deal he has got."
Taylor follows Tommy Fraser, Doug Loft, Adam Yates and Geoff Horsfield into Vale Park this summer.
