Port Vale defender Gareth Owen says he is fit and raring to go for the start of pre-season training on 1 July.
The former Stockport man was forced to miss the final two games of the season with an ankle injury but he has now made a full recovery.
He told BBC Radio Stoke: "I am 100% fit, I did extra work when the season was over to make sure it was right.
Owen, 26, signed for Vale from Stockport County last January and made eight appearances.
He will battle it out with John McCombe, Lee Collins and Luke Prosser for one of the centre-back spots under new manager Micky Adams.

Owen said: "When a new manager comes in everybody has a point to prove and I will be no different.
"I've heard he applies a simple approach. The early weeks of pre-season training will be important and I need to make a good impression."
