New Vale boss Adams is talking to three players over new contracts

Port Vale have announced that Premier League new boys Wolves will be among the opponents for Micky Adams' side as part of their pre-season preparations.

The Championship winners will visit Vale Park on Wednesday, 22 July.

West Bromwich Albion, who have been relegated from the top flight, will visit Vale Park a week later.

Vale have also arranged six friendlies away from home, which will all take place before the Football League season starts on Saturday, 8 August.

The first of those is against Biddulph Vics on 11 July, while there are also matches against AFC Telford, Newcastle Town, Stafford Rangers, Kidderminster Harriers and Nantwich Town.

Meanwhile, midfielder Ross Davidson has signed a new one-year contract with the Valiants.

Paul Edwards and Luke Prosser were also offered new deals before Adams' arrival.
