Heath has also managed Burnley, Sheffield United and Coventry City
Austin Aztex manager Adrian Heath has said that some of his players could be heading for a trial with their affiliated English club Stoke City.
The trials are planned for the end of the American season in September.
Heath told BBC Radio Stoke: "We're planning on sending a couple to Stoke at the end of our season.
"Our aim in the long term is to supply players with potential to Stoke, and if they feel that they're not up to that level, they can place them elsewhere."
Heath added: "I've got three or four players here who I know can play in England, but we have to find out what level that's going to be at."
The Aztex were formed in 2008 and are owned by Phil Rawlins, who also serves as a director of the Potters.
They play in the division just below the MLS, in which LA Galaxy's David Beckham and other former English-based stars such as Darren Huckerby, Chris Birchall, Carl Robinson and Rohan Ricketts have been plying their trade.
Austin have former Watford and Stoke striker Gifton Noel-Williams and ex-Bradford midfielder Eddie Johnson among their ranks for the 2009 season.
