Port Vale teenager James Lawrie has said the players need to take the blame for the club's poor season after their ninth home defeat.
Vale fans were calling for manager Dean Glover to be sacked after the 1-0 defeat by Lincoln, his 12th reverse in his 23 games in charge.
However, striker Lawrie told BBC Radio Stoke: "He's been at the club a long time and has Vale in his blood.
"We are letting him down and need to turn it around," said the 19-year-old.

Port Vale have only won eight games under Glover, who replaced Lee Sinnott who was sacked in September after losing at home to Macclesfield 4-1.
The Vale travel to Moss Rose on Wednesday night to face Macclesfield again.
