Port Vale midfielder Scott Brown is certain that the Valiants will improve their poor home record.
The Valiants can boast the second highest average gates in League Two this season but they have won just twice in 10 games at Vale Park.
Brown told BBC Radio Stoke: "Away from home we've been really consistent and have looked strong.
"The lads just need some confidence and once we get that home win I'm sure we'll fly up the league."
Brown is currently on a one-month loan at Vale Park from Cheltenham Town with a view to a permanent deal in January.

He has played four games this season, having missed most of last season with a broken leg.
"I feel really good at the minute, especially because I've played three games in 10 days," said Brown.
"I feel fit and I'm buzzing looking forward to playing every Saturday.
"When we're confident and we play good football then I think people will see the best of me, but at the minute I think I'm doing ok."
