On-loan striker Paul Gallagher is optimistic he will be able to play in the Pilgrims' third round FA Cup match against Arsenal on Saturday.
Gallagher picked up a knee injury during Boxing Day's game against Southampton and subsequently missed Sunday's 1-0 defeat at Cardiff.
However Pilgrims physio Paul Maxwell told the club website: "As the swelling has gone down, Blackburn are happy.
"I'll have a look at him on Friday to see whether he can play on Saturday.
"At the moment, it's too early to say one way or another but it's fair to say he has a chance of being fit."
Earlier in the week Plymouth were given the go-ahead by Blackburn boss Sam Allardyce to keep the 24-year-old until the end of the season.
