Plymouth Argyle boss Paul Sturrock has been named among the nominations for the Championship Manager of the Month Award for September.

He joins fellow nominees Steve Coppell of Reading, Wolves boss Mick McCarthy and Burnley's Owen Coyle.

Argyle have won three and drawn the fourth of their past four games since losing at home to Norwich at the start of the month.

It has seen the side rise from bottom of the Championship to mid-table.
