Norris is wanted by his former boss Ian Holloway at Leicester |
Plymouth Argyle midfielder David Norris has had a transfer request turned down by the Devon club. Norris' future at Argyle has been in doubt after he was absent from a club event in the build-up to Saturday's FA Cup tie at Portsmouth.
Neither Norris or Argyle manager Paul Sturrock were at a news conference held on board HMS Albion on Monday.
It is believed the pair held talks after Ipswich Town made a second offer for the 26-year-old midfielder.
Ipswich have already had a 1.5m bid turned down and Leicester boss Ian Holloway has confirmed their interest.
"I'm in the market for good players and sometimes a manager wants to bring in people they know," the former Pilgrims manager told BBC Radio Leicester.
"It depends on what Plymouth want to do with him."
In a statement on Tuesday Argyle said :
"Argyle can confirm that they have received a written request for a transfer from midfielder David Norris. After due consideration, the request has been refused by the club."
