Paul Sturrock (left) introduces Argyle's record signing Steve MacLean |
Plymouth manager Paul Sturrock says he wants to bring more strikers to Home Park before the transfer window closes. After completing the signing of Steve MacLean for a club record fee of 500,000 Sturrock said: "That does not finish me up front."
"There are areas where we're hoping to sign or double up on," he added.
But Sturrock refused to discuss speculation over the future of midfielder David Norris, who has been linked with a move to Ipswich Town.
Town boss Jim Magilton confirmed to the club's website that he had made a second offer for Norris: "It's a good offer but I don't know if Plymouth want to sell."
It is believed Ipswich's first bid for Norris, who used to play for Bolton, was in the region of 1.5 m.

Plymouth manager Paul Sturrock refused to comment when asked if Norris had handed in a transfer request.
He also refused to talk about whether he would make another bid for Exeter City's leading scorer Jamie Mackie after having two bids turned down so far during the transfer window.
