Plymouth have moved to fill the gap left by Barry Hayles' move to Leicester by signing 18-year-old Everton striker Lukas Jutkiewicz on loan. He has joined for the rest of the season, and made his debut in the 1-0 defeat at Cardiff on New Year's Day.
Pilgrims boss Paul Sturrock managed Jutkiewicz at Swindon, before his move to Goodison Park earlier this year.
Meanwhile, Argyle have allowed defender Scott Laird, 19, to join non-league Stevenage on a month's loan.
