Peterborough United defender Mark Little is set be out of action for six weeks after being told he must undergo surgery on his left knee.
The 22-year-old missed Tuesday's League Cup defeat of Cardiff City because of the problem.
Posh physiotherapist Peter Corder told the club website: "Mark has sustained a left knee lateral meniscus tear which unfortunately requires surgery.
"And he is likely to be out for up to six weeks."
