Peterborough United boss Darren Ferguson says trialist Lanre Oyebanjo will feature in a friendly game against his club Histon on Wednesday.
The 19-year-old defender is spending a week at London Road.
Ferguson told BBC Radio Cambridgeshire: "Getting a look at him first-hand on Wednesday will be better than seeing him in training.
"He's been on the radar for a while. We can maybe look at getting him in next week again."
Part-time Histon have lost a string of players to professional clubs recently while Posh have a reputation for taking on young non-league players.

Ferguson is keen to see how the Republic of Ireland Under-21 international fits in at London Road.
He said: "I've always encouraged trying to get players in to see what they're like personality-wise and what they're like around the dressing room."
Oyebanjo, 19, joined the Stutes from Brentford in 2008.
In return for the trial, Histon will be able to keep midfielder Billy Crook on loan from Posh on a month-to-month basis.
