Peterborough winger Shaun Batt has accepted he is not the finished article but said a run in the first team should help to improve his overall game.

Batt made his first start in over a month in Saturday's 3-1 win at Stockport and is hoping to be handed a prolonged run in the side.

The 21-year-old told BBC Radio Cambridgeshire: "Whoever I'm up against they're not going to live with my pace.

"It's just about working on the other aspects of my game and improving."

Posh travel to Tranmere for their FA Cup second-round replay on Tuesday.

Darren Ferguson's men struggled to break down their League One rivals in the original tie at London Road.

"They came to our place and took a 0-0 draw and may well think the job is done," he said.

"But we've shown this season that we can go away to tough places and get the points."
