Craig Mackail-Smith scored 19 goals for Posh last season
Peterborough United striker Craig Mackail-Smith believes his goal drought will end sooner rather than later.
The 24-year-old last scored away at Grimsby Town in April.
He told BBC Radio Cambridgeshire: "I will go on a good run of scoring goals; the chances are coming. My aim is to get 20 and to push on from there."
Mackail-Smith has started the season in manager Darren Ferguson's first XI, leading the line alongside former Grays man Aaron Mclean.
"I think me and Aaron have a got a great understanding because we played most of last season together," he said.
"We're a similar kind of player so we know what each other is going to do."
The ex-Dagenham man is also happy with the signings that Posh have made over the summer and believes they will provide him with more opportunities in front of goal.
"We've got Boydy [George Boyd] on the left, and we've also got Whelps [Chris Whelpdale] and Sergio [Torres] on the right.
"So it's looking good for me and Aaron and now it's just a matter of us putting the chances away that they create for us," he added.
